Mainly, because people automatically assume that because my parents are rich, I get whatever I want, and I'm some sort of snooty, self righteous snob. I hate that shit.
I have a shitty job, and I used my sorry excuse of a paycheck to buy my crappy car. I also use my paycheck to buy anything else I need. I hate being stereotyped. Had you just said
"Dave, I hate your ****ing guts, regardless of your financial situatuon" I would have been peachy keen.
