If you legalise something, you can put controls on it more easily than if people know what they're doing is illegal and so try to hide it. Some drugs I don't think should be legalised as they ARE dangerous (like LSD, for example, that can really bugger up people's minds after even only one dose, but then again, people will do it whether it's legal or not, so...), but I think things like cannabis should be legalised. Like with prostitution; it's is going to happen whether it's legal or not, but if you legalise it you can regulate it far more easily.
