I'm very addited to Oddworld Forums. It's a part of my daily life.
Hmmm. . . Well, I'm not sure about how to bring the magic back. Add more fetures and a better chat room, perhaps? Maybe re-design the place? Get a new color scheme and images in.
Maybe some of us ought to go look around other forums and see what features they have, and then we could copy them.

EDIT: One suggested feature: We could do what Dragon Tails has done. Make several color and image schemes for the Oddworld Forums, and then give people the oppotunity to select the desired colour and image scheme.
(Won't work with poeple who don't use cookies) Pretty nifty, eh?
Might be hard to do, though. If I think of more idea's, I'll say them here.
