*sigh* The way of the internet I'm afraid. On one hand I can see why they do it, because these big sites take a lot of money to run. Internet advertising is not like it used to be, it doesn't really pay off anymore (probably because of annoying popup ads). It's either charge or go the way of sites like Daily Radar (i.e. cease to be).

But on the other hand, I don't like it and am just as annoyed as you are. Because I like to get information on my favorite games and view videos, and I don't want to be paying for something that was previously avalable for free. It also makes it tough when you run a fan site like Oddworld-Web, because if it is a site like IGN or Gamespot, they have previously had a lot of interviews or info. So therefore, you can't put news about it on your site for other, as people can't access it.

The only positive I do see for this, is hopefully some of the smaller Xbox and game sites will begin to recieve information instead.
