Part 11

(OOC: I actually did a really good part for this, but lost it all when my comp crashed...which was irritating. So here i go again, i apologise in advance for the rubbishness as i aint really feeling 100%.)

It was an interesting sight. One in which you didn't see every day, not even in other Dimensions. Lance was in the middle of a huge forest, the sight in which he stood in awe in front of was that of a statue carved from wood. The tree's in which had been used were collapsed around it, hacked at and whittled to more appropiate amounts. It stood 8-9 foot in height and was of a Slig, a Big Bro Slig to be precise. It had three tentacles, each hooked with a claw. Its head was pointed towards the sky, as was its right arm. Its index finger on its right arm was also risen. Its left appendage was set by its side, seemingly steadying it. The fingers of it clenched. The spined tail of the creature curled around the stone platform in which this magnificent marvel was mounted on. Lance squinted and moved closer, there seemed to be some writing on the stone and he crouched down to get a better look.

'Spider was murdered and in the end so shall his murderers.'

The 3 end letters seemed to be scrawled, as if something had the creature writing them. Lance also noted random bullet holes in the statue and around the surrounding area. He stroked one of the holes which was the home of a embedded bullet, it reeked of Orkhid. He stood up, his wings stretching. The black feathers were gradually growing back, making him look sleeker and more Angelic looking than ever before. A slight breeze ruffled them, Lance seemed to smile and face the direction. Feeling the coolness envelope his 'Skin'. It carried a scent, the scent of two creatures. It was strange. The creatures seemed to have different smells to them as if their genes were spliced but this seemed not to be the case. He turned in the direction and started to walk, breathing heavily as he did so. Taking in the perculiar smells of these animals. As he neared he heared the searing sound of flesh and the sucking of mouths. The smell of a dead Mudokon entertained the thought of death, it seemed to taunt him and made him quicken his pace. Although weak from the Dimension hopping, Lance still had one of his most prized abilities. Stealth. As he neared the creatures his form shivered, his black skin slowly fading and his eyes shrinking into nothingness. A dead Mudokon graced Lance's sight. Its body ripped by claws and blunt teeth marks made by the predators that crouched above the body. However, what came as a surprise to Lance was the fact that the killers were Mudokons. But their scent seemed to be mixed with another, like that of Orkhid. Their appearence also seemed altered. Their nails were sharp and grotesque. Their eyes sunken and dark, as if taunting all who opposed them to come and 'Fight'. A lone feather topped the back of their heads, it was black and dirty. Their skin was paler than their usual colour yet in some places stained with black blood of their kill. They were lapping the blood from the dead female Mudokon that they had killed, clawing the skin off to summon fresh blood to the surface. As it formed they lapped it up and sucked it out of the veins. One of them stood up, smelling the air, his face serious.

Mudokon #1: "He is coming..."

His partner never looked up, but merely continued lapping at the blood which was constantly flowing from the neck.

Mudokon #1: "We have to leave...now."

Finally his partner looked up, blood stained his face and dripped from his lower jaw.

Mudokon #2: "Cant we attempt to kill him? If we did we would be known throughout Mudo's and possibly beyond. Maybe even feared by other cretins that are against our will!!"

The first Mudokon scoffed and turned away, facing the sun which was beaming its rays of light through the tree's that littered the way. It stretched.

Mudokon #1: "No...The Orkhid Brethern will take care of him. He is after all, trying to wipe them out too. And in any case, they have greater weapons than us..."

There was silence. The Mudokon turned slowly, his head cocked. As he did so he was met by the form of Lance. The other Mud lay on his side, twitching. He was still alive but his speech was taken.

Lance: "My, my, my. What an interesting world you have..."
