Chapter 19:
"Who was that?" Chomp said curiously rubbing his hands near the fire.
"Oh, just a face from the past."
"Oh?" said Chomp oddly shiftly looking at a puzzled Chris.
"Some Glukkon wants me to do some simple pick-up and go job. He makes it sound so easy."
"You can't do this!!! What about Shirley.....AND THE GABBITS!!!"
boomed Chomp fluming.
"I have to Chomp. I get 500,000 moolah."
"Is that all YOU care about?! Hm?"
Chris started to get a sick feeling inside he was flaming too, he wanted to scream blue murder.
"WHAT ABOUT YOU CHOMP??!!! ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS YOUR FRICKING DAMN GABBITS!!!"
Chomp went quiet instantly, with a worried expression on his face, then he suddenly frowned.
"Fine." He says. "Fine go get your precious moolah!! By yourself! See if I care!!"
Chris twirled round and folded his arms. "Vey well Chomp. I'll go alone."
Chris began to walk away into the mists of Scrabania, while Chomp yelled after him: " I'LL FIND SHIRLEY ON MY OWN!!! SHOWS WHAT A GOOD FRIEND I AM!!!"
Chomp fell on his log in a sitting position, glancing into the sunset guitly.
"Chris......" he whispered.
His voice echoed eeirly.
"Chomp....."
Chomp froze.
"Chomp......"
"Who is it??!" Chomp said raising his hands.
Then a dash ofsmoke burst out of no-wjere and a transparent figure shot out and flew to the ground, as it was lightweight.
Chomp looked up at this figure, oddly his eyes widened with a puzzled look.
"Don't fear me Chomp, I'm just like you." said the Spirt.
Chomp opened his mouth to find no words come out.
The spirt was a Gabbit, a dead one from perhaps a 100 years ago.
"You're like me?" said a bewildered Chomp.
"Yes, you have a destiny and I can prove it to you. But you must find Shirley, she is lost but not alone. She is amcompannied with a wild Elum." explained the floating spirit's eeirly voice.
"Destiny?"
"Your destiny, is t find and save the last few Gabbit's. And make them lead a good life and keep them safe."
"That's what I intend to do."
"Good. I will lead you to them."
