Well, if Bush would stop spending stupidly large amounts on "Defense", taxes wouldn't be so high...
But you still need public services. If Businesses weren't taxed, who would pay for the Buses? The NHS (does the US even have one of those?)? Education? If we didn't tax people who were making disgustingly large amounts of money (IE Corporations) that they couldn't possibly spend in six lifetimes, we'd have to tax honest people who actually need their money to stay alive...
(That's what I meant, Neike, by taxing the Rich more than the Poor. The Rich can afford it...)
