Think of something person x does not have that you have. Even if it's a silly assumption. The idea "I have a life, I have
fun in life, and I wouldn't want it any other way" works for me. It's not neccessarily true (well, it is, but the details in it could change, heheheh), but it's very satisfying if you manage to convince yourself of it.
Or just realise you have a talent for something person x does not.
Yes, this actually even works if you're jealous of someone being together with another person you'd have liked to be together with. I know. You just need willpower and the ability to convince yourself you have something better... o_O;;
Of course *evil smirk* you will be guilty of pride then, and then you go to hell if you're a christian, but hey. I won't tell. *lol*
BTW, pardon this message being so in-general, but it's not like I have the slightest idea what Jacob's jealous of... hmm...
