Possible theory. I Remember the 3 Rooms with the 3 Glukkons (Aslik,Phleg and Dripik). In the whole room gas Will released if the Glukkons die. As the mudokons are "brain-washed", It could be that this time a mudokon Will release the gas (because they see Abe as a threat).
