I genuinely saw the thread title and thought to myself 'Wait... it was Peter's birthday?'. That shows how significant my 35th was in my life.

If those pictures are indicative of a boring birthday in your life, then I would LOVE to see an exciting one! Both cakes looked delicious too. The one your boyfriend made is absolutely adorable!
Birthdays should be exciting and grand! It doesn't matter how relevant the number, it's still a personal achievement (don't cha think?). For all of my birthdays, I drag Kevin over half of Sydney just for an adventure. Last year was the zoo, the year before was the aquarium, both with book shopping trips and dinner. I haven't quite decided this year's adventure yet.
