As for what's next? Well, you'll have to wait and see.
However, while by definition the ARG itself might well be niche, obviously there's a greater message being told, one that ties into Soulstorm, and the closer you're following it and the more you're invested, the more obvious that will be when you see and play the game. Let's just say I hope somebody is taking NOTEs.
