The Glukkon religion explanation is actually huge... These clever bastards made every faction gray (Other than Vykkers, holy crap those guys are vile to the core). If you consider it, even the "good" Mudokons kill without mercy.
Just look at Abe, he even laughs after killing others and his only response is "oops" when he accidentally kills his fellow peers. I mean it's probably just a game limitation, that he can't mourn over every one of them, but still, it's *too* nonchalant.
