Except that the bus is going to decelerate.
Acceleration is a vector quantity, a bus could be moving at a constant speed around a roundabout and would be constantly undergoing acceleration due to its constantly changing direction. For the sake of this argument I believe it was that the bus is continuing at a fixed speed in one single direction on some hypothetical infinite straight road. Thus there is no acceleration.

Please stick to the farts guys I'm really curious.
