Originally in one of the docs, Lanning was gonna explain how the Mudokon Moon came to be about, where one night Mudokons were looking at it or something and there was a meteor shower that hit the moon and imprinting the Mudokon Print hand on it, making the moon.

Wasn't one iteration going to be that the meteor shower occurred as Abe escaped RF? I understand this would change a lot of the backstory between the muds and glukkons. Was one method ever chosen as canon over the other, or were they both just suggested examples? Would be nice for Soulstorm to delve deeper into the lore and expand/clarify.
Edit- I know Abe sees the moon already formed after escaping the Free fire Zone! I meant if it's possible it formed during his escape, but he didn't necessarily witness it
