Googling "PS Vita Failure" might surprise you. The console sales (up to 12mln units, and not going to rise much anymore) are a fraction of what PSP or 3DS achieved (82mln and ~62mln units sold, respectively) due to lacking suport from Sony, general lack of good games (non-ports), expensive hardware etc.
Personally, I don't own the console (and I'm not in the minority there, as disappointing PSVita sales have almost become a meme on its own), but my roommate brought one home yesterday. The conversation went like:
