I voted for Munch's Oddysee ironically. You can't go "super dark" with a character like Munch.

The opening of Munch's Oddysee showed it's possible to do Dark with that character. It's very possible to take him seriously if you remove the BOINK BOINK BOINK's and focus solely on the wide-eyed naievity he displays in several of the FMV's.
