I'm just going to throw this one out there, but when you heard the headlines about a terror attack in Brussels, did any of you honestly have a reaction that wasn't to assume it was Muslims? Why is it so taboo to entertain the thought that backwards reactionary ideas that are pervasive amongst Arab Muslim subcultures are a contributing factor to terror attacks? The neighbourhood I grew up had a mosque so there were quite a few Muslims at my high school, and boy did many of them think really stupid shit about apostates, homosexuals, Israel, and a variety of other things. It only takes one nutjob raised around all this bitterness and hate to do something dreadful.
