The announcement was really pushing the whole ‘visual innovation’ angle, I’d be really surprised if this wasn’t a part of it. I bet the pictures of Abe they’re teasing will be of the cutscene model.
It’s also worth noting that Frima (the Canadian studio mentioned in the press release) has a dedicated ‘Animation & VFX’ department.
