I’ll see how it goes. I’d like to plug some of the models I have into Unity and try and learn some of that, maybe try and work it into a little demo or something. Animation isn’t something I’ve tried yet but it’s something I’d like to try out soon.
You should be able to rig and animate your model in whichever program you're currently using. There's plenty of prebuilt rigs floating around you can probably practice with, too. I wouldn't recommend using Unity to get your start in 3D animation.

I find animating a model to be much more satisfying and enjoyable than the actual modeling process. It's worth the effort for a few laughs in unexpected rigging fuck-ups.
