Whaling is good. It creates jobs. It sounds fun. Whale probably tastes excellant. Other nations just skirt around zone restrictions. Let's make it totally legal. Hey, if everyone else gets in on this lucrative action, everyone should have a crack at it. Whales are espendable and not important to a lot of people. Ever see this on someones resume: I petioned for the sake of whales? No one will brother anyway. In congress I guarantee if this was brought up, their would be 5 dewy eyed save everything people and everyone else would think" Whaling+campaign donations+Reelection. Slaughter the whales!" and shoot it down like a wounded duck. And what would happen to the precious, precious ecosystem if the blue larded tippycanoe whale became extinct? Jack squat, thats what. 99 percent of all species are gone, who says whales matter?
