i love Doom. Doom 1 and 2 are great games, the originals. Doom 3 i didn't love but i didn't hate it either. it was ok. not being able to shoot at the same time as shining a torch was fucking stupid though, i mean who's idea was that? a lot of that game is set in the dark so maybe they were trying to add to the fear factor by doing that, but i thought it was a dumb thing to do. i just prefer to see what i'm shooting at. i know there are mods to fix it but, damn. i'm pretty sure i first played that game on the original Xbox too, so there were no mods for my sorry arse. i had to play it as is.

i hope Doom 4 pulls it off, but i won't be able to play it anyway because i is poor. which is a shame because i love the Doom universe and all the lore. the demons were good too. the cyberdemon from the first two games was scary, and so was the pinky and hell knight from the third game.
