Because it isn't a masterpiece and nobody said it is.
I don't consider a remake good if it's worse than original. For me that's the point of remakes, to replace the original. NnT fails to replace the original, and we can agree to that.
But others don't think like me. They enjoy NnT nonetheless. And, because they enjoyed it, they recommend it and say it's fun. That's it.
