If alternative fuel systems were economically viable, their use would be more widespread. A fully-electric car costs something like $30,000 and even that comes with all kinds of tax credits and rebates.

If by "corn oil" you mean "ethanol," i.e., grain-based alcohol, alcohol is produced by distillation. For distillation you need heat -- guess where most of the heat for distillation comes from? Oil.

Your advocacy of eliminating oil companies completely disregards all the other uses of oil, including fueling trains, trucks, planes, electricity, and making the plastic parts in your computer.
