I think sex must be a primarily psychological thrill for most people, like the thrill of dominance or submissiveness, depending on your preferred role, because I remember being underwhelmed by the physical sensation. I find it pleasant, but I have suspicions that I'm less sensitive than I should be - might be too much information, but I have to admit, I've never finished first (sort of means I can savour the "journey" though, so I don't mind).
Also, I always questioned the idea of virginity. Does putting a body part somewhere or putting a thing in your orifice really make any difference to anything in the long run (unless it goes wrong/right and results in offspring)? The only explanation I can think of it is evolutionary - I suppose if we didn't assign some sort of value to it, we wouldn't have the same drive to reproduce.
