Yes but most would care at least a bit. Most would feel empathy to whoever died and who it will effect. You'll have to numb to not feel something.

Only caring for your closest friends and family doesn't make you a bad person. A bad person wouldn't even care for those around him/her (unless for a good reason).

I admit, I don't care for some random people on the street, at work. I keep to myself. They're strangers. Why should I care? But if they're in distress or need of help, that's when I'll start caring. And I think we're all like that in a way. which in some degree makes us at least decent people.

Also. Did you read my mind? No word of a lie; That genuinely happened to me on the bus to work. First dead body I ever saw. It was surreal and shook me up for a while.
