What the hey? Why is everyone talking female vs. male? In Oddworld, it has always been equal. At least that's what I think, not that anyone else seems to. To me, all those 399+ muds from the Abe games were a mixture a masculine and feminine. I mean, it says right on the freaky OW page that Abe "has no reproductive organs". Some of you don't seem to understand what that means. It means NEUTRAL!!! Not male - not female! Why is everyone so hooked up on this gender thing? Oddworld is not like Earth. There are not perverted stereotypes there like there are here (at least on genders. Some on species though)!
You know I am glad if they removed Queen Sam, if she was just a "Damsel in Distress" anyway, then why bother??
Abe isn't male--look at him! Inside and out, he has BOTH of the eearthly genderal stereotypes...
His body:
Broad shoulders, big feet, big hands,six-pack abs...masculine.
Bust-waist-hip curves like a female's...also has the big eyes, which is a female stereotype...high, non-guteral voice...long hair.
His soul (according to the stereotypes):
Brave, fierce, (sometimes) violent, powerful, dominating (glukkonns).
Sensative, emotional, shy, sympathetic, gentle.

Now of course these are Stereotypes. I'm certainly not trying to say that guys can't be sympathetic or girls can't be fierce. But i just want to say that Oddworld is NOT a unigenderal planet! there is Yin AND Yang. Trust me.

sorry about the emotional outburst, but equality was always my favorite part about Oddworld! I really honor the OWI for being so consistant in their equal m/f inclusion, and their blasphemes against this so-called god, the Stereotype. Oddworld has been a very inspiring experience to me, and i suppose I'll die defending it. BTW: I also honor them above all game makers for never introducing sexual material into their games, and never using the "boy meets girl" plot. It has always been equal, always been positive, and always been Odd.
