Because TzF is not a remake, just like NnT wasn't, and I'm pretty sure Lorne
stressed that multiple times. They're
modern reimaginings, which gives them complete artistic freedom.
And since they never wanted Abe to have three fingers, why would they give him three fingers in a context where they have complete freedom to do whatever they want?
