It wasn't an entire copy though. It wasn't literally just smash bros everything copied but with different visuals. There aren't even edges to the stage to get knocked off of, the entire knockout system was changed.
I wasn't trying to say that sony smash was a ripoff, but it's also clearly doing what it's doing to compete with Super Smash Bros.
