Hate to rain on anyone's parade but I really don't think Abe stands a chance against every other game franchise in existence.
And on top of him not being as popular as everyone else there's no real connection or reason why he should be in smash brothers, aside from it'd raise awareness to a fan base who don't really have anything to do with Oddworld.
Abe's a weakling who's trying to save his own kind, him fighting people completely goes against his character.
But who knows maybe someone can prove me wrong.

Half the characters in smash bros dont have a reason why they should be in smash bros imo.
But its a fun little 'what if' scenario. No harm in trying, itd be pretty funny.
