I think there is a damn good reason why you need certain qualifications for certain jobs, and that is that certain jobs require you to learn things in order to do the job successfully. I don't see your problem here. I very much doubt that your average person who has never studied Medicine in their life could go on to be a Doctor, for example. Of course, you might be of the belief that grades are not a necessary part of the Learning Process, but again, I disagree. We can't have people just saying "Oh, I've learned all that. Can I go and hold people's lives in my fingertips now?" and then being allowed to go on to be a surgeon, can we? We need some kind of proof that they are competant enough to perform their job. That's what Qualifications are for. (2)

1. Jebus! Why does England sound like this perfect place where everyone learns and is happy? I knew that there were ignorant ppl in America, but all the stupid ppl in England must drop out early. There are so many kids in America who don't apply themselves and don't care about learning. They go to school becuase their parents think they are supposed to. And then when they fail, their parents don't care. After a long series of failures, they give up completely and usually remain immature, without a shread of dignity. I have to put up with these losers through high school. It's ridiculous how completely oblivious they are...
2. I really doubt he meant "Lets get a docter who has no qualifications and let him/her fix ppl." We are talking about grade school here, if someone wants to learn to heal, they go to medical school
after grade school.
