I downloaded and installed the game, but when I try to run it I get an error message which says that my screen resolution is too low... please guys help me

Try going to your Steam folder, then open:
/steamapps/common/Oddworld New n Tasty/Settings/{SOME NUMBER}/Settings.cfg
Look at the "Resolution = ..." line, and try changing the numbers to "1920x1080" if they aren't already.
