What are the new features in Bloodborne? Because it looks like reskinned Souls game (some of the animations are ripped from Souls games). Which is really good considering how awesome are Souls games, but after like 3 games it starts looking stale

Bloodborne uses a heavily reconfigured version of the engine programmed for DkS2, but as far as I know development of this engine was concurrent for both games; Bloodborne is not a piggyback on the resources and code from Dark Souls 2. I can't for the life of me figure out which animation you mean other than the 'assault' attack enemies will use where they flurry-attack the player, which is staple for the grunts in the series.

BloodBorne has the fastest combat of all the games by far, with evasion being focused on repositioning for offense rather than backing off for defense.

The online features have been streamlined so that there are no load screens; you use a Bell to indicate you want to co-op and other players can choose to use a different Bell to 'mesh' your worlds together seamlessly, allowing you to co-op. You can have up to 3 allies and supposedly both helpful and aggressive phantoms can enter your world after you've challenged a boss.

Shields have been done away with in there entirety, now a firearm is held in the left hand that serves several offensive functions. Ammo is in short supply and damage dealt by firearms is paltry, but when timed correctly they open up enemies for huuuuuge critical damage. Firearms are loud, however and will draw infected your way.

All melee weapons shown have 2 different modes; for example the Sledgehammer's handle can be pulled out into a fast but terribly weak straightsword-like weapon, while hitting (L2, I believe) turns it back and forth into its substantially more powerful, but slower sledgehammer mode. Souls games have played around with this concept with things like weapons that buff themselves instead of parry but this is a wholesale renovation of the combat system, every weapon has twice the versatility of anything that came before it. This is a big change.

As opposed to Souls there is now Blood. Retaliating against an enemy that has damaged you will replenish some of your lost health. Certain enemies drop phials of blood which seems to act as the primary healing item; no more replenishing Estus flasks.

Generally speaking the game world is much more hostile and you'll be fighting larger crowds of enemies than in any game prior. How you play is supposedly reflected in your character's appearance, although how exactly this is determined has yet to be revealed. Supposedly you become more beastial in appearance, with limbs distending and such.

What we know least about is late-game content, PVP, Covenants (of which there are apparently many) and how exactly levelling will be treated. Bloodborne will have a specific level cap (or something) that will keep players from cranking up their stats too high; play style will be more dependent on your stats than ever before.

Anyway it's first thing in the morning and I have some animals to deal with.
