Have we ever had a Spyro discussion? I hear a lot of Rayman and Crash around here but never enough Spyro the Dragon. Some of the best games I've ever played and just like Crash, A real shame what happened to the series.
I feel like I’ve enthused on it a couple times and there’s been a couple of brief discussions, but never anything major.

Crash and Spyro are game series of a type that I think don’t really get made any more: all-ages friendly, lots of charm and style, easy to finish but difficult to master. The industry as a whole has moved away from the platforming genre except for indie games, which use 2D platforms as vehicles for artsy-ness which is nice, but doesn’t scratch the same itch.

Spyro in particular has a great sense of exploration of a fantastical world that most games nowadays skip out on.
