The first case was basically a rather tepid retread of the last game's first case (You'll say 'So what?' but wait until you see how hard the first case for Trials and Tribulations tries).

The second case is... okay. It's never really anything more than a chore to read. It's only the only case in the second game that contributes towards the main storyline.

The third case is awful, just awful. Dumb characters, a nonsense murder and large swathes of the trial segments are prolonged by Moe being a complete prick.

The final case is really really good. It's (In my opinion) the weakest of the original three climax cases and it has the weakness of the game not really building towards it such as the first and third game do but it tries and does something very different which you'll see as you move further through it. Far and away worth playing the second game on the strength of it alone.

But man wait until you get to the last couple of cases in the third game.

More generally speaking Fran just isn't that good a character compared to Edgeworth, her dad or Godot. I never really found her funny and her subplot is just kind of meh.
