Have to say, having played it for about 7-10 hours of Shadow of Mordor it is one of the best games I have ever played. While in some ways it is quite simplistic, there are some very complex mechanics going on in the background such as the ways the Uruks fight each other and you can influence the way their hierarchy is organised. There are tons of cool abilities to unlock and use. The next-gen versions have a cool emergent gameplay function going on where enemy captains will roam around the map so you could end up fighting 5/6 Uruk Captains all at once.
