When I got to that bit, I actually chanted, I thought you were supposed to posses that slig, I thought that he would shoot Alf if he walked off.

I did the exact same thing but apparently he's too drunk to notice Alf getting away.
EDIT: I guess that whole speech of Alf having his first beer in the desert at the end of AE will have to change now.
