For the record, you the player never actually see this Mudokon die, although Abe's cringing and statement of 'Help me rescue the rest of them' seems to indicate he died, it can be assumed he is ultimately saved.

Haha that's awful. He's just lying there with a broken leg waiting for Abe to save him, while Abe just assumes he's dead and moves on. It's gonna be a long, long wait, buddy.
