I obviously stopped the download before changing the DNS settings.. The connection would cut off when you re-set up anyway. It definately worked for me without a doubt.

Yes, but maybe just stopping the download and starting it again would have connected you to a faster/less busy server. My point was that the DNS check is only a minor factor in overall internet access time for this sort of thing. It shouldn't make a difference.
