Personally I think that it would be kinda wierd if both games had the new n tasty slogan attached when the refence to the games story itself.
That would be like saying in 98 that Abe's exxodus should have been named Abe's oddysee 2 for consistency.

In my mind, 'New 'n' Tasty' doesn't refer to one specific game, but is a label applied to all the remakes. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee: New 'n' Tasty has that title because it's a newer and tastier version of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. Not because it's a phrase that happened to be mentioned in that game.
