Refs in football never use camera footage as far as I know. I think this World Cup is the very first tournament where Fifa allows the use of camera footage to assist the ref, but they're not obligated to use it.
Football is one big actor sport anyway. The average player goes down crying on the ground at the slightest gust of wind and for some reason the refs still buy into it. Faking an injury to get a throw in or a penalty shot has become part of the sport, which is really quite retarded.
