Just, nothing about it makes sense. Gospel music, Las Vegas style, designed by Scarfe (the guy who drew The Wall album art)... Also Micheal Bolton. So yeah.
I have no idea what they were thinking, maybe they just wanted to do something extremely different but all these decisions just don't work with the story and tone the film is going for. It's confused, it has no idea what it wants to be. It's isn't
horrible but by Disney standards it's pretty shitty. This was around the time Disney kind of just trailed off.
