Gen III is best gen because it's the one I grew up with. Anyone who claims to have a different reason for their preference is probably lying.
Nonetheless, I like it for having quirky, less cute designs that looked like something that might actually live in tall grass/caves/rock pools somewhere. And
Route 111, which is basically the best thing ever.
So while I'm not exactly excited, since I've seen it before, I'm happy to see it again. Let's just hope they stop the remakes for a while. 3D remakes of games that are already 3D seem kind of redundant.
