In the video game vernacular "HD remakes" are High Definition remasters of older games. It doesn't mean a remake of a game that's in HD.

High definition is just an increase in visual resolution. So all modern remakes are going to be in HD by default because we are in the HD age of video games.

No one calls XCOM Enemy Unknown a HD remake. People just call it a remake. I imagine they're concerned that many people will just think it's Abe's Oddysee running at 720p or 1080p when they hear "HD remake". Maybe they improved the character models like Stranger's Wrath but it might not be worth their money or the £18 price tag than an actual remake.

It's like telling people they shouldn't say "I could care less" because it's not grammatically correct despite the fact everyone who uses it knows what it means. People say "head over heels" when they should actually say "heels over head". People should say "HD remaster" but they use "HD remake".

New n Tasty doesn't fall under the criteria of the term "HD remake". Stranger's Wrath HD and Munch's Oddysee HD do.

Arguing otherwise just seems to be a lack of understanding or simply to fuel the "fuck Lorne" mentality when there are probably actual examples to call him out on. Like his demeanor in the interview, perhaps.
