Dementa scanned the area from her lofty perch at the top of the tree Blue's house was in (well as far up as her weight would allow). The screeching had stopped and she could have sworn she saw something dart into the forest from one side of the village.
I must be getting paranoid She thought, shaking her head. Then she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. She turned her head toward it and saw a figure coming toward the estate. She shifted herself so she could get a better look.
It was a mudokon, one that had the guard 'uniform' (for lack of a better word) and he looked like he was following a trail.
"Blue!" she said as she climbed down to her level. "One of the guards found our trail...and is heading our way!"
