Also, I'll be getting a physical boxed copy of the game at some point, so if I ever become able to play it on the pc, I still can.

Valve showed off the first line of Steam Machines the other day. Most of them were overpriced and stupid, but the cheapest ones were about the same price as the new consoles. Games on PC are a lot cheaper, obviously, though the choice for Linux systems sucks right now.
