I think I am qualified, because I have played all three games... Here I go...
Reason why MO was far worse than AO:
1: It had no meaning. AO brought grim humor to the realities of death, slavery and capitalism. AO was incredibly meaningfull and intelligent, while MO was practically a kiddie game.
2: The humor... AO had the dark, sophisticated twists and such, but MO just relies on the raisin snoring, flatulence and other unfunny things. MO just wasn't intelligent nor funny.
3: It certainly wasn't original. AO was amazingly original, with its intelligent views and gameplay, while MO was just like some nintendo game where you run around collecting tokens and shit.
4: It had no atmosphere. AO had this amazing, brooding, creepy atmosphere that made it so different. MO... wasn't like that in any way.
5: It was not suspenseful.... Remember how at the end of AO and AE, you would be sneaking around, spying on Glukkons and it was damned freaky... It really kept me on the edge of my seat, while MO just ended calmly and boring.
6: It just wasn't as fun. Really. In AO, the way you had to find secret areas, the chanting and whistling... The running away from paramites and scrabs... Ugh, MO just wasn't as fun, and it doesn't keep you on your toes.
7: The 3D takes away... It isn't as cool... The 2D platform was so much better, 3D isn't oddworld-ish.
8: The mudokons didn't have the cool emotions like they did in AE. They didn't even behave as cool as they did in AO!
9: Spooce. Kiddie game...
10: I know I've talked about this before, but... AO was so cynical and gritty! MO was meaningless!
11: Sligs just yell moronic insults... They can't control slogs, they can't do all the cool stuff they used to be able to do. Just stupid insults such as "Hey, fart breath!" Was Lorne Lanning on crack when he wrote that?
Ok... I'm sure there is much more for me to gripe about, but I won't. AO was the best. Then AE... MO was just mediocre, and doesn't deserve the honor that goes to AO... Play it for yourself, and see what you think...
