That's not quite a valid comparison. I'm yet to see any 3d platforming game that's even playable with a keyboard, let alone better than a controller.

I played through all of Psychonauts with keyboard and mouse, and didn't have any issues with it at all. Not to mention that SW is a large part FPS as well. It does have quite a bit of 3rd person platforming, but I never felt it was very difficult at all.
