A logo doesn't need shading to look good. You're probably thinking of the contrast problem that's been brought up many times already

I'm not saying it needs it to look good, I just mean all other Oddworld stuff has had at least a basic level of shading, whereas this has none. Therefore, it seems unOddworldish to some people, I think.
