There’s not even a post on the site that announces the logo, it just turned up around E3.
I still think it was pointed out somewhere, perhaps on the forums, but at any rate, absence of evidence ≠ evidence of absence.

I think it's pretty unlikely that JAW would hang prints of Eveson's fan poster around the office, adopt another piece of fan art as an official shirt design, comission him to redo one of the most famous props in AO, and then decide that he's just not good enough for the logo.

Eveson’s poster and his t shirt were both announced and Eveson explicitly named as the designer, but this isn’t true of the logo. Don’t you think they would announce the logo in a similar manner to Eveson’s other design commissions if he were the creator?
By your logic, shouldn't JAW have posted an announcement saying that the logo was designed by Whosit Whosisface? JAW are a small team with lots of work. Oversights will happen.

They did announce the logo, in a fashion, but they went down the route of intrigue rather than bombast.
