These games were never about following established conventions in many respects. Surely, then, the same ideology can apply to it's logo as much as any other aspect of it, you know? All the complaints seem to use other games as examples of how it "should" be done...well, these games never needed to look to copy other games' ideas before. Lorne sometimes refers to games as pieces of art. If all art conformed to stereotypes and didn't attempt to break the mould, this would be a dull world. It is, perhaps, a little avant-garde but I personally like the idea behind it, this symbol of the sort of tacky, corporate flourescent thing that a group of Glukkons might dream up to sell their product. We should all have faith and acknowledge the risks involved in the creative process. Besides, the game looks beautiful and the series is well respected, and no amount of logos can add or detract from that!
